Interesting News

Well, I just found out that the student in my class who tends to be hyperactive and throw tantrums will be in my class for his last day tomorrow, which also happens to be the day that one of the other students comes back from vacation.  Apparently his parents have decided to move to Seattle and he is leaving on Monday.  His grandma informed me of this news at his parent-teacher conference.  I feel a little guilty for saying this, but frankly, I'm relieved.  He's a good kid and can be fairly entertaining when he's in a good mood, but can also throw a heck of a temper tantrum.  I can't say that not having to worry about disciplining him isn't going to be a nice break.  It will make the classroom a little less exciting, but that may help us to get some more work done.  It's also nice to find out that my number of students is going to remain the same.  I was a little worried about what was going to happen when the other student returned from vacation and we would have to shuffle the schedule for teaching lessons around.  Some of that is still going to have to happen, but at least I will have the same number of students in the classroom instead of more of them.
